Claud David Crouch 6 (James Thomas 5, William Smith 4, Richard 3, John 2, Richard 1) , born September 8, 1890; at the age of 71 he suffered a heart attack and was moved to St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee for surgery November 21, 1961 where he died on December 19, 1961 [1] (Findagrave). He had lived in the Chapel Hill community for 27 years; married Johnny Pace Stack born April 11, 1898, the daughter of George Thomas Stack and Mary Belle Pace in 1918. Buried in Trenton, Todd County, Kentucky. Johnny Pace Stack died September 4, 1992 [2]. (Findagrave)

Prominent Trenton Farmer Dies Tuesday - Services Held Wednesday For Claude D. Crouch

Claude D. Crouch, 71 year old retired farmer of Trenton, and members of a pioneer Todd County family died early Tuesday morning at the St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville. Mr. Crouch had been in poor health for some time and was moved to the Nashville hospital on November 21, for surgery.

Funeral services were to be held 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the Trenton

Obituary #2 - Claude D. Crouch

Claude D. Crouch, farmer of the Chapel Hill community, died at 3:30 AM today at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, where he had been a patient since November 21.

Mr. Crouch, 71, had been in poor health for some time and had undergone surgery two weeks ago.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday at the Trenton Baptist Church. The Rev. Earl Norhtern assisted by the Rev. Laber Mattingly of the Trenton Methodist Church were in charge of the final rites. Graveside Masonic services were conducted by the Bethel Lodge of Trenton. Burrial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.

A native of Todd County, he was born September 1890, the son of James T. Crouch and Martha Mobley Crouch. He had farmed in the Chapel Hill community for 27 years. He was a member of the Trenton Baptist Church and the Bethel Masonic Lodge of Trenton.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Johnnie Stack Crouch; four sisters, Mrs. Sam Chestnut, Miss Gillie Crouch and Mrs. Percy Shelton, all of Elkton, and Mrs. Howard Lebkuecher , Hopkinsville.

Four brothers, Omar, James and Ernest Crouch all of Elkton, and Ed Crouch of Trenton, also survive along with several nieces and nephews.

The body will be at Ramsey Funeral Home until 4:30 PM tommorrow when it will be moved to the residence in Trenton, which the Crouch's had recently bought.

 [2] Obituary - Johnnie Pace Crouch

Funeral services for Johnnie Pace Crouch, age 94, Trenton, were held at 2:30 PM Suday, September 6, at the Trenton United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Dunlop officiated at the service and burial followed in Edgewood Cemetery, Trenton. Maddux Funeral Home, Pembroke, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Crouch died at 8:55 AM, Friday, September 4, at Christian Health Center, Hopkinsville, after a long illness.

A native of Todd County, she was born April 11, 1898, the daughter of the late George Thomas and Belle Maynard Pace Stack. Her husband Cluade D. Crouch, preceded her in death, in 1961. She was a member of the Trenton Methodist Church.

There are no immediate survivors [although Johnnie's sister Tommie died and left her son Tom Page in the care of Claude and Johnnie]

Expressions of sympathy may be in the form of donations to the Trenton Methodist Church.
