Helen Edith Schneiter & Albert Keith Bahler

Helen E. Schneiter born February 11, 1919 in Trail, Holmes County, Ohio; died October 16, 2010 in Kinsman, Ohio; she married Albert Keith Bahler on July 5, 1941.  Keith was born January 13, 1919 in Sugarcreek, Ohio; died Friday May 6, 2016 at age 97.

Helen was a daughter of Fred and Elise (Lengacher) Schneiter of Sugarcreek, Ohio. Formerly of Akron.  She was a long time Kinsman resident. She was employed as a bookkeeper for the A.G. Birrell Co. in Kinsman for over 15 years, retiring in 1984. She was an active member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, where she belonged to the Women's Group and served as an Elder, Trustee, and Deacon. She was a member of the Tourist Club; and her hobbies included reading, gardening, needlepoint, baking, cooking, and traveling.

Keith was a son of Treva (Baker) and Albert C. Bahler (superintendent of the Sugarcreek-Shanesville School District [4]). Keith and Helen were formerly of Akron, Ohio.  He was a graduate of Sugarcreek High School and went on to graduate with a degree in education from Kent State University. After graduating from Kent State University, he taught math in the Sugarcreek-Shanesville School District [4]. He later graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree (7-12-1948) in Dairy Technology in the college of Agriculture from Ohio State Universtiy. Keith served in the United States Army during World War II.

On July 5, 1941 Keith married Helen E. Schneiter. Together they moved to Kinsman, Ohio in 1963. He worked for the former Sealtest of Akron and of Kinsman for over nineteen years and later worked for the former Target Stamped Products of Kinsman for over fifteen years until he retired in 1984. He was an active member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder, Trustee and Deacon and the men's group. He was member of Northeastern Dairy Tech Society and was a charter member of the Kinsman Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed reading, gardening, playing golf and restoring furniture.

A funeral service was held for Helen (Schneiter) Bahler on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11 A.M. at the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. David R. Black officiating. Burial followed in the Kinsman Cemetery.  A funeral service will be held for A. Keith Bahler on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00am at the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church Street, Kinsman, Ohio with Rev. Susan Francis officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
