There is a Nathaniel Aldridge listed in Muster Rolls for the War of 1812. He was recruited 10 November 1814, during the time frame when Kentuckians were being recruited for the Battle of New Orleans. Term of service was 6 months. Nathaniel O/Aldridge served in Capt. Edward Berry’s Company, Kentucky Detached Militia, as part of the 15th Regiment Commanded by Lt.-Col. Gabriel Slaughter. CMSR War of 1812 records list Nathaniel Aldridge serving at Camp Jackson [which was located in LA, near New Orleans].

[1 Who is blind] Note on the 1830 census there are two elderly adults living with this family. I suspect they are either William Oldridge and his wife or James Butler and his wife. They are living in Breckinridge Co., KY in 1820 and are listed as over 45 years of age and upwards. They are not found living independently on the 1830 census for this county.
