While antiquing 19 October 2013 I found an old album containing several old
photos. A number of the photos are labeled with names and relationships.
The album is approximately 10.5 x 8.5 inches with a blue green padded fabric
cover and an oak front with the word album in metal fancy script. There is a
metal clasp that still works. I could not bear the thought of someone purchasing
the album and removing all of the lovely old photos and selling them one by one.
I believe the album belonged to the Goebel family of John S. Goebel and Mary Gertrude Moreketter.
The back of the album contains several small old photos, some of them tintype.
The sad part is that section does not have labels for the photos. I did a search for a member
who might like to have the album. I returned the album to a family member who reimbursed the cost I paid for the album, plus postage.
Before sending out the album, I scanned it and am now
placing it online for other members of the line to see. If you would like copies
of these photos you may contact me at the email address below or download them
from the photos online. I also took photos with my iPad. Each photo was gently
removed and photographed front and back.
