This couple is not found after the 1860 census. Their youngest son, William J. Simpson is living with his sister and her husband, Mary and William W. Winslow, on the 1870 census. In 1880 both Daniel D. and William J. Simpson are living with their sister and her husband, Elizabeth and John C. Smith.
