The Tie That Binds                               

While in Nashville, TN today [27 October 2009] I found an album of old photos. The album is 5 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches in size, with a metal clasp for closing. The spine is taped. The photos in the album are labeled with some stating relationships. I could not bear the thought of someone purchasing the album and removing all of the lovely old photos and selling them one by one.
I searched for a direct descendant of Alpheus Tompkins and his wife Rachel Miller. I returned the album to a family member who reimbursed the cost I paid for the album, plus postage.
I sent a message to the message boards for the names listed and to the Rootsweb lists for those names.
The spellings of each family name are my best interpretation of the writing in the album.
Before sending out the album, I scanned it and am now placing it online for other members of the line to see. If you would like copies of this album you may contact me at the email address below or download them from the photos online.
