In 1817 Thomas is listed in Washington
Co., KY tax records and Barsheba is listed in Ohio Co., KY. Most likely she has
moved to an area where her children lived. There is no 1818 tax book for Ohio
Co., KY, but in 1819 Thomas is listed in Ohio Co., KY and is there through the
year 1829.
Thomas and his second wife, Barsheba, were separated by 1827 as noted in
the 1827 Ohio Co., KY Tax Records. Thomas' death had been listed by 1816 in
Washington Co., KY, however with the documentation of his presence in the
Ohio Co., KY Tax Books, I believe we can list his death circa 1829 - 1830.
No Will or probate was found when I searched Ohio Co., KY records in 2004. In
2023, I searched the Washington Co., KY will and probate records for the entire
year from January 1816 until January 1817 and found no will, probate, inventory,
and dower's right records for Thomas Voyles. This surname has been checked for
all alternative spellings of the name.
