Isaiah Frost Snediker lived with his parents in Richland Co, OH, where he was born, until at least 1850, and Williams Co, OH until 1881, as shown in census schedules for 1860, 1870, and 1880, and his own account. In his younger years, he worked as a tinner or tinsmith. In 1864, he enlisted for one year in Co H of the 3rd Ohio Volunteer Cavalry, and served in that unit until the end of the Civil War. In 1865 he married Angeline Pike of neighboring Fulton Co, and brought her back to West Unity, Brady Twp, Williams Co to live. In 1870, he was working as a retail dry goods merchant in West Unity. By 1880, he had returned to his father's occupation of farming. Daniel and Lydia (Dillon), his parents, apparently had sold their farm by this time and were living with Isaiah and his family on a farm in Millcreek Twp, Williams Co. By Isaiah's own account, he removed to near Hartford, Lyon Co, KS in March, 1881. In Lyon Co, he worked raising sheep on a ranch believed to have been established by his brother, Robert Truman Snediker, along with their younger brother, David. In August, 1887, he left Kansas and settled his family in Independence, Jackson Co, MO. In 1900, he lived at 900 Kansas (Ave?), Independence, and worked as a traveling salesman, but by 1910 he had established his sewer contracting firm, and worked at this for the rest of his life. He moved to Kansas City in March 1901, and lived at 1819 Washington St. (1910), later moving to 814 Elmwood (1915) and 626 Elmwood (1917), where he died. He was buried in Lee's Summit Cemetery, Lee's Summit, Jackson Co, MO. Isaiah F.
