St. Cloud's last Civil War veteran dies at the age of 98. W.C. Russell
 was a Union soldier for the 3rd Ohio Cavalry and served three years
 as a regiment bugler. After the war Russell enrolled in the Grand Army
 of the Republic and in his later years moved to St. Cloud where he joined
 the residential G.A.R. Veterans. Russell was "always a leading spirit and
 entertained with talks and stories, and his ability along that line was
 state-wide," a friend said.
