Andreas Thoma (#1) (-3G)
*my direct-line ancestors. The (-3G), etc., indicates the number of generations before Erven Thoma. He is listed in the family record with his parents and their 14 children. This appears in the civil records of Altenschwand which is available on microfilm (LDS film #0957339, batch K969141). His parents are listed on this record. According to this record, it seems that this Andreas died in infancy. A later brother took the same name. His siblings born earlier than he are: Josef Thoma (-3G) (b. 14 Jan. 1826), Maria Eva Thoma (-3G)(b. 3 Sept. 1827), Stephan Thoma (-3G) ( b. 26 Dec., 1828), Fridolin Thoma* (-3G) (b. 20 Jan. 1830), Johan P. Thoma (-3G) (b. 12? June? 1831). Andreas' parents were the proprietors of the "Hirschen" (Stag) Landgasthof (Inn/guesthouse) in Altenschwand. Below find pictures of the guesthouse today.
