  • She is listed in the family record with her parents and their 14 children.  This appears in the civil records of Altenschwand which is available on microfilm (LDS film #0957339, batch K969141).

    Born before Carolina were six other siblings, Josef (b. 14 Jan. 1826) (-3G), Maria Eva (b. 3 Sept. 1827) (-3G), Stephan (b. 26 Dec. 1828) (-3G), Fridolin (b. 20 Jan. 1830) (-3G), Johan P. (b. 12? June? 1831) (-3G), and Andreas (#1) (b. 18 April 18 1833) (-3G). Others were born after Carolina's death.

    Carolina's parents were the proprietors of the Hirschen (Stag) Landgasthof (inn/guesthouse). Below are pictures of the guesthouse today.
