Benjamin was born at
York Co., Pennsylvania, on 18 July 1858. He was the son of
John Dellinger and
Susan Frey. He married
Susan Shepp at
Pennsylvania circa 1879. Benjamin was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census at
Springettsbury Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania. He died on 28 September 1934 at
York, York Co., Pennsylvania, at age 76. He was New Tag Obituary from a 29 September 1934 newspaper:
"Benjamin Franklin Dellinger,
Benjamin Franklin Dellinger died at 1:20 am. yesterday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey N. Werner, 1327 East Market street, of a complication of diseases. He was seventy-six years old. Mr. Dellinger leaves four daughters. Mrs. Harvey N. Werner, Mrs. Ray H. Lauer, Mrs. Rufus Plowman, and Mrs. Howard Bohn, all of this city; a son, Morgan G. Dellinger, this city, a sister, Lucinda Dellinger, Mt. Zion, and two brothers Henry Dellinger and Jacob Dellinger, this city. The funeral will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at his home, with concluding services at the Pleasureville United Brethren church. Internet will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church."

Body may be viewed from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday."

The funeral of Benjamin Franklin Dellinger, who died on Friday, was held at 2 p.m. yesterday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey N. Werner, 1327 East Market street, followed by concluding services at the Pleasureville United Brethren church. Rev. Edward Leech, pastor of the Fourth United Brethren church, officiated. The pallbearers were: Harry Lefeaver, W.W. Sipe, H.I. Scheaffer, Elmer Sipe, Andrew Spangler and William Spangler. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church."
