Elizabeth Jane "Lizzie" Dellinger was born on 17 April 1850 at
Lower Windsor Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of
Rev. George Dellinger and
Elizabeth Stahley. Elizabeth Jane "Lizzie" Dellinger married
Amaziah M. Mullen, son of
James Mullen and
Matilda P. Piper, on 21 October 1868 at
Stephenson Co., Illinois; Amaziah and Lizzie were married by James Johnson, Minister of Gospel.
Both Amaziah and Lizzie lived in Ogle Co., Illinois at the time of their marriage. Elizabeth was listed as a household member living with
Amaziah M. Mullen on the 1870 Census at
Forreston Twp., Ogle Co., Illinois. Elizabeth was listed as
Amaziah M. Mullen's wife on the 1880 Census at
Ogle Co., Illinois. Elizabeth Jane "Lizzie" Dellinger died on 9 August 1887 at
Forreston, Ogle Co., Illinois, at age 37. She was New Tag Obituary from the 13 August 1887 Forreston Herald Newspaper:
"DIED: Tuesday, August 9, 1887 at her home in Forreston, after an illness of long duration and intense suffering. Mrs. A.M. Mullen age 37 years, 3 months and 22 days. The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon at the U.B. Church of which deceased was a member. She leaves a husband who is in a feeble state of health, three boys, a sister and brother and many friends to mourn her untimely departure. The bereaved family wish us to announce that they unite in their thankfulness to kind neighbors and friends for the many services rendered during their sad affliction." On 13 August 1887 at
Forreston, Ogle Co., Illinois.
