Frederick Dellinger was born circa 1765; From corespondence with Daniel Bly:

"I do not have specific birthdates for the children of Frederick and Catherine, except for Savannah (Sabina), David and Rebecca. The best way to figure the sons is through the personal property tax lists which date from 1782. Men were subject to a "tithe" which required them to pay a fee for poor relief but also to work on roads, fix the jail, help with other Public work. All men over 21 were subject to the tithe, but even 16 year old were counted because they were eligible for militia duty and the other work mentioned. Most men are listed by name when they turn 21- usually just appear as a number with their father between 16 and 21-- However, in on some occasions they also listed those over 16 by name. In 1782, John Dellinger was listed - so he must have been over 21 by then. Frederick Jr. is first listed on his own in 1786. Neither had any 16-21 tithables in their household in 1787- 1788 is missing and in 1789 John, Frederick and George are listed together. In that year they were listing those over 16- so George had turned 16 probably in 1788-(born about 1772) George seems to be on his own at age 21 by 1794, at which time he is also listed with David (who had just turned 21)." He was the son of Frederick Dellinger and Anna Catherina (?). Frederick Dellinger married Margaret Fravel, daughter of Henry Fravel and Anna Keller.¹
