     Henry was born at York Co., Pennsylvania, on 23 March 1832. He was the son of Jacob Dellinger and Sarah Urich. Henry Dellinger was Henry apprenticed as a harness maker in Columbus, Ohio about 1847. Circa 1847 at Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio. He married Lydia Pickering at Fairfield Co., Ohio, on 20 December 1855. Henry was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census at Pickerington, Fairfield Co., Ohio. He was inducted into the military at Lancaster, Fairfield Co., Ohio, on 17 April 1861. He was mlt discharge on 21 July 1861 at West Virginia; On 21 July 1861 Henry is discharged from the regimental hospital of the 19th Ohio Volunteers at Buckhannan, Virginia as a result of a spinal injury. He migrated in November 1865. He was move in 1867 at Trading Post, Linn Co., Kansas; Henry moved his family from Mound City to Trading Post, Kansas in 1867. Henry was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census at Lincoln Twp., Linn Co., Kansas. He was election in 1871 at LaCygne, Linn Co., Missouri; Henry served as mayor of LaCygne from 1871 to 1872. He also served two terms as police judge and five terms on the city council. He married Mary Grace Potter at Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri, on 4 July 1871. Henry died on 23 January 1895 at LaCygne, Linn Co., Kansas, at age 62. He was buried on 25 January 1895 at LaCygne Cemetery, LaCygne, Linn Co., Kansas; Henry's funeral was held in the LaCygne Opera House and all businesses in town closed at 1p.m. and high school classes were cancelled at noon so people could attend the funeral of "another of the country's brave defenders."
