     Henry Washington Dellinger was born on 19 February 1837 at Ohio; According to Henry's death certificate, which was witnessed by his son, Charles, Henry's father was a John Dellinger. No indication of who is mother was. He was census 1850 - free in 1850 at Bloom Twp., Fairfield Co., Ohio; Henry, age 12, was living with the Norton Karney family at the time of the 1850 census for Bloom Twp., Fairfield Co., Ohio. He married Elizabeth Carney on 27 October 1861 at Fairfield Co., Ohio. Henry was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census at Allegan, Allegan Co., Michigan. He died in 1919 at Michigan.

At one time I believed that Henry was the son of Henry William Dellinger and Mary Margaret Snyder, however the younger Henry does not appear to be living with the elder Henry in either the 1850 or 1860 census, whereas 6 daughters do appear in those census records, including a Henrietta M., age 11 and 21 respectively. So given that I now believe that Henry Washington Dellinger is not a son of Henry William Dellinger and Mary Margaret Snyder.

Henry was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census at Clear Spring District, Washington Co., Maryland. Henry was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census at Clear Spring District, Washington Co., Maryland. He died on 1 November 1884 at age 71. He was buried in November 1884 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church Graveyard, Clear Spring District, Washington Co., Maryland.

"DELLINGER - KISE

The ring ceremony of the Reformed church was performed by Rev. E.M. Sando, of Hallam, Saturday evening when Herbert F. Dellinger, 316 Walnut street, and Miss L. Grace Kise were married at _____, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Kise, 857 East Philadelphia street. The Lohnengrim 'Bride's Chorus' was played on the piano by Miss Grace Kise, a sister of the bride. The latter wore a dress of white chiffon taffeta over silver cloth, trimmed with tulle. She carried a bouquet of white roses. The interior of the home was tastily decorated with cut flowers, the color scheme being pink and white. Mrs. Dellinger is a graduate of the Hallam High and York County Normal schools, and for the past five years had been a teacher in the public schools of Springetsbury township. Her husband is employed by the York Safe and Lock company. The following persons participated in the wedding supper, served after the ceremony; Rev. E.M. Sando, Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Kise, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dellinger, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dellinger, Marcus Hook, Mrs. Morris Powell, Mrs. Franklin Leader, Mrs. Joseph Cousler, Henry Landis, Lester Dellinger, William Ruby, Misses Greta Kise, Lucinda Dellinger, Mabel Kise, Florence Landis, Pauline Badders and Mabel Kise."
