Pepin III (?) King of Franks was the son of
Charles Martel King of Franks and
Chrotrud (?). Pepin the Short, jointly ruled as Mayor of the Palace with his brother Carloman from 741 to 747, when Carloman adbicated for the monastic life in Rome. Appointed himself the First King of the Franks or the Second Race uniting Neustria with Austrasia (751- 24 September 768). Invaded Aquitaine every year between 760 to 768 except 764 and 765. He finally conquered the Aquitainians in 768, the year of his death. He married
Bertrada (?) in 740. Pepin died on 24 September 768.
