Coroner To Conduct Inquest Into Death Of Mrs. Amanda Ford
INJURIED ON SUNDAY
An inquest into the death of Mrs. Amanda Ford, 41, wife of G.F. Ford, 352 East Poplar street, will probably be conducted in the near future, Dr. L.U. Zech, coroner, said last evening. Mrs. Ford injured Sunday night in an automobile accident near the White Swan restaurant, west of the city, died yesterday afternoon at 1:55 o'clock in the West Side sanitarium.
The victim was a passenger in an automobile driven by her son, Keefer Ford. The car upset after a collision with another machine. Mrs. Ford sustained a fracture of the skull and severe shock. Mr. Ford and a daughter, June, 11, were less seriously injured and the driver and another sister, Olivia escaped unhurt.
Mrs. Ford is survived by her husband, George F. Ford; three children, Z. Olivia Ford, G. Keefer Ford and Jane Ellen Ford, all at home; her mother Mrs. Amanda C. Hoffman and five brothers and sisters, Mrs. Rebecca McCainister, of Windsor Park; Mrs. Elmire Dellinger of York; Mrs. Effie Wolf of North York; Jesse C. Hoffman, York R.D. 5 and Harry C. Hoffman, York R.D. 5. The deceased was a member of class No. 15 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran church.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the memorial funeral home of Henry Sleeger and Sons, 822-30 East Market street. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery."
She was buried on 24 August 1937 at
