Samuel was born at
Gloucester Co., New Jersey, on 3 October 1807. He was the son of
Jacob Spicer Horner and
Rebecca Ann Eastlack. He married
Mary Leah "Polly" Andrew at
Washington Co., Indiana, on 2 September 1829. Samuel Horner was census 1830 in 1830 at
Washington Co., Indiana. He was appointed a guardian in 1853. He left a will on 12 April 1884 at
Fredericksburg, Washington Co., Indiana; Will of Samuel Horner of Fredericksburg Washington Co IN will dated 12 Apr 1884; will proved 16 Apr 1886 wife Mary "all my children", but no names given except for dau. Almyra wife of Hayes B. McAllen Executors: Jacob A. Horner and son-in-law Robert Armstrong Witnesses: Joseph Daily and Zeno Breedlove. Samuel died on 8 April 1886 at age 78. His body was interred in April 1886 at
Fredericksburg, Washington Co., Indiana, at Fredericksburg Cemetery.
