Wrightsville Man Succumbs To Pulmonary Oedema, Following Operation
BROTHERHOOD MEETING
Wrightsville, July 22 - Samuel W. Ruby, a cigar maker, of this place, died in the York hospital at 3:35 p.m. today from pulmonary oedema, following an operation for appendicitis a week ago. He was aged 47 years, eight months and one day. Besides his widow, Mrs. Sally Ruby, he is survived by the following: six children, Chester A. Ruby and Mrs. George Dellinger, Long Level; Charles C. Ruby, East Prospect; Jacob Ruby, at home; Mrs. Grace Garner, York; and Mrs. Dellinger Detweiler, Craley; 14 grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George C. Ruby, Long Level; four brothers, Irvin Ruby, Columbia; Charles Ruby, Craley; George and Grant Ruby, Long Level; and two sisters, Mrs. Milton Wallick, this place and Mrs. Herbert Ritz, Wrightsville, R.D.
The funeral will be held Thursday, with services will be conducted at the Springville Free Gospel church, Lower Windsor township, near Craley. Rev. C.C. Missner, pastor of Grace Evangelical church, this place, and Rev. George Albright, Locust Dale, Pa., will officiate. Interment will be made in the Springville cemetery. Funeral Director G.W. Anstine, East Prospect, has charge of the arrangements."
