"Elizabeth Jane Free

Elizabeth Jane, wife of Jacob A. Free, died at the residence of her husband, 444 Park street, yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Death was the result of an attack of acute indigestion, which occurred only three days ago. She was aged 58 years, 10 months and 20 days and is survived by her husband and two daughters, Gertrude, at home, and Phoebe, at Reading; also by John Shepp, a brother, of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Frank Dellinger, and Mrs. H.B. Strickler, sisters, both of York. The funeral will be held from the home Monday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. John H. Ness, of the First U.B. church, of which Mrs. Free had been a member, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Union cemetery at Manchester."

Susan was listed as Benjamin Franklin Dellinger's wife on the 1900 Census at Springettsbury Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania. Susan Shepp died on 15 January 1929 at York Co., Pennsylvania, at age 68. She was New Tag Obituary from a 16 January 1929 York Co., Pennsylvania newspaper:

"Mrs. B.F. Dellinger

Mrs. Susan Dellinger, wife of B.F. Dellinger, died yesterday morning at 3:45 o'clock at her home, 349 East Philadelphia street, of a complication of diseases. She was 68 years old.

Mrs. Dellinger leaves her husband and the following sons and daughters: Harry W. Dellinger, Morgan G. Dellinger, Mrs. Harvey N. Werner, Mrs. Ray H. Lauer, Mrs. Rufus A. Plowman and Mrs. Howard R. Bohn, all of this city.

Funeral services will be conducted at the late home at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Further services will be held in the Springets United Brethren church. Burial will take place in the cemetery adjoining the church."

Miller, pastor of the Fourth United Brethren church, officiated. The pallbearers were Allen N. Shearer, A. Bentzel, C.A. Stambach, Allen Kauffman, Joseph Thompson and Martin Shaffer. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church."
