Adam was born at
Baltimore Co., Maryland, in 1746. He was the son of
Jacob Stroup and
Catherine Birkhover. He married
Catherine Alexander at
York Co., Pennsylvania, circa 1768. Adam Stroup was migration circa 1770 at
Lincoln Co., North Carolina; Adam moved to Lincoln Co., North Carolina after his father. He settled on Leeper's Creek. He began military service in 1780 at
North Carolina. He was move in 1787 at
Lincoln Co., North Carolina; In 1787, Adam bought a farm on Saylor's Branch, northwest of his father's farm. He died circa 1835 at
Lincoln Co., North Carolina. He was buried circa 1835 at
Lincoln Co., North Carolina; Adam is buried in the family plot on his farm.
