     Charles Holcomb Blakely was born on 3 January 1870 at Rock Springs, Drew Co., Arkansas. He was the son of Bascom D. Blakely and Dora Matthews. He married Lois Anna Knox on 20 December 1893. Charles Holcomb Blakely died on 3 May 1950 at age 80. He was buried on 4 May 1950 at Oakland Cemetery, Monticello, Drew Co., Arkansas. He was New Tag Obituary from an unknown newspaper:

"CHARLES H. BLAKELY BURIED HERE THURSDAY

Charles H. Blakely, age 80, died in a local hospital Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., May 3. Son of the late Bascom D. and Dora Matthews Blakely, he was born at Rock Springs, Drew county, January 3, 1870.

He was married to Lois Anna Knox in 1893 who preceded him in death on April 5, 1940. The had no children. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church.

Services were conducted by Rev. I.H. Williams, at Stephenson Funeral Home Chapel, last Thursday afternoon at 4. Interment was in Oakland cemetery."
