She married Philip Franklin Dellinger at Lincoln Co., North Carolina, on 21 March 1846. Sarah died on 24 August 1861 at age 45. Her body was interred in August 1861 at Cherryville, Gaston Co., North Carolina, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
