LOCKTON  FAMILIES

Lockton Photographs

Lockton seems to be a name that very few people are searching. It doesn't seem to feature in most English surname books or genealogical web sites, either. Some of the information I have on this family came from a family bible that was handed down from the Lovitts to the Locktons to the Walkers. Other information comes from parish records and censuses. Quite a bit came from the only other Lockton researcher I've ever come across. She told me that the Lockton name originated in the town of Lockton in Yorkshire. I haven't come across any Lovitt researchers yet, either.
