Leola would have been pleased to have an enthusiastic dancing partner, but that’s not what she married. Nor did their first offspring fill the void. Brent, on the other hand, inherited his mother’s grace and verve, as this candid shot from (we think) an Institute function reveals.
We don’t seem to have any photographic record of our dear neighbors, Harold and Nadine Tjossem, nor of Nadine’s resident mother, Mrs Marie Schreiber. Nor even of their disgusting, yapping, spoiled-rotten wire-haired terrier, Judith Ann. But Leola wouldn’t approve of our omitting them from mention. Maybe not even Judy. That’s their home next door, across the fence, behind, yes, Leola and Brent.
