The monumental stone in the middle of the enclosure was placed in the 20th Century by the City Club of New York, commemorating Thomas Willett as the first Mayor of New York. Thomas and Mary Willett lie with their heads to the north (left), parallel to the big stone and behind it; their footstones appear to the right, and their headstones (we see here only a corner of Mary’s) to the left. |

Mary’s father, Worshipful John Browne,
seems to have been buried at right angles to his daughter and son-in-law. To the left of the monument, you can see just the right edge of his modern headstone; his footstone (if that’s indeed what it is) is hidden to the east. |
