Summary


In the name of god amen, this is the last will and Testament of me John Pollard of Tingewick in the County of Bucks yeoman who being in health of Body and of sound and disposing mind memory and Understanding do make publish and declare the same in manner and form following that is to say, I give and devise one of my freehold messuages cottages or tenements and premises with the appurtenances Situated in Thornborough in the County of Bucks Lately called or known by the Sign of the Little Bear but now in the occupations of Joseph Tomas and John Turvey to my granddaughter Ann Pollard the Daughter of my Son John Pollard to her and her heirs for ever, But Provided She dies without an heir I give the Said premises to the right heir of my son John Pollard after her decease I give and devise all that my other freehold meassuaage cottage or tenement with the appurtenances now divided in and occupied as three Dwelling houses by William Toms Elizabeth Burt and {blank} Backer Situated in Cattle or Cattlehale Street in Thornborough aforesaid and all other my hereditaments and premises (Except the above mentioned premises Lately known by the Sign of the Little Bear but now in the Occupation of Joseph Toms and John Turvey) Situated Standing and being in Thornborough aforesaid in the County of Bucks to my grandaughter Elizabeth Newett of Tingewick in the County of Bucks to here nad her heirs and assigns for ever but Provided she dies without Issue the said premises after her decease I guve to my grandchildren of my son John Pollard to be Equally divided between them and all of them their heirs and assigns for ever I give devise and bequeath all my Copyhold messuage or tenement Farm lands grounds and premises with their appurtenances situated lying and being in Tingewick aforesaid in the County of bucks now in my own Occupation and wich I sometime since Purchase of W'm Smith (and wich is surendered to the use of my will to my son John Pollard and his assisgns for and during the term of his natural life Provided he shall provide a sufficient maintenance for is wife and his Children out of the Profits of the said premises till the come to age or years of Maturity to provide for them selves and from and after is decease whn is youngest Son or daughter shall come to the age of twenty one years the said premises to be Sold to the Best bidder and the monies arising therefrom to be Equally divided between is now wife Mary Pollard and all of their Children that are living at the time of his decease their heirs and assigns for ever I give and bequeath all these my Copyhold messuages or Tenements with their appurtenances situated in Tingewick aforesaid in the County of Bucks now in the Occupation of Thomas Newett & Robert Read and wich is Surendered to the use of my will to my grandaughter Elizabeth Newett her heirs and assigns for ever, but that Part of the Premises now in the Possesion of Tho's Newett I give unto him for his use without paying any rent or charge whatsoever During the term of his natural Life But Provided my grandaughter dies without Issue the said premises after her decease to the right heir of my son John Pollard I give and bequeath my household furniture goods Chattels and Effects to my grandchildren of my Son John Pollard to be Equally divided between them after his decease I give unto my son John Pollard all my ready money and farming Stock Subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary Expences and lLastly id hereby revoke all other wills made heretofore by me and I nominate constitute and appoint my trusty Friends William ..oway of the Parish of Thornborough in the County of Bucks and William Fowler of Tingewick aforesaid to be Executors of this my last will and Testament whereunto I have set my hand and seal this Seventeenth Day of March in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and fifteen
