situation. She has been very nice to // me indeed.

I have just come back from // service in the first Saloon. I wondered
if you were at Church too. We // even had a short address. There are
three parsons aboard so we shall be // all right for services.

Tell Doll our trips to Wales stood me // in good stead this morning. The fellow
next to me is a man who has been // everywhere & knows everything. This
morning he was asked where we were, // & said he didn't know. I said "Passing
the Stack lighthouse outside Holyhead." He // was nasty & said we ought to be seeing the
last of England because we had been // sailing twelve hours. I said at nine last
night we were in docks - so we were, I // was on deck wathching them pull us thro'
the lock. Anyway he said I was a 'liar' // (politely, of course) so I left it. Anyway
