1784 poll list of Buckinghamshire

Voters for ELECTION of KNIGHTS of the SHIRE

Repository:

Source description:

Summary: Alphabetical list of Voters for ELECTION of KNIGHTS of the SHIRE for the County of Buckingham

Notes: In order to vote in this election, voters had to fulfil certain criteria, e.g. ownership of freehold land. Inclusion on this list, therefore, implies a certain status in the community.
n.b. this is not a complete list of any parish apart from Tingewick - only names & places of interest to me have been included

The letters V, G and A after the names indicate which way they voted - the majority had two votes but some were only eligible for one vote.
