Simon Fairthorne

(fairthorne -at- iclway.co.uk)

is the 3rd cousin 3 times removed of:
Edward Falkener Fairthorne, son of Thomas Fairthorne and Sarah White Falkener, who was baptized 27 October 1813 at St John at Hackney; married Caroline Pain by 16 May 1843 at Bloxham, Oxfordshire, both of full age, unmarried, he solicitor of Brackley, she of Bloxham, 3rd daughter of the late John Pain Esquire of Banbury, witnesses include C Fairthorne; , died 31 January 1897 at Brackley, Northamptonshire.
Edward (who was a solicitor in Brackley, Northamptonshire) held a lease on 3 acres of land called 'The Piece': a cottage and garden: and 'Cottage Blacksmiths Shop & Gdn' - presumably as an investment as there is no record of him ever living there.

Simon is engaged in a one-name study of the Fairthorne surname. Parts of the main tree go back to 1553.
