The will of Elizabeth Caporn of St Giles in the Fields 1818-1843

This is the last will and testament of me Elizabeth Caporn of No 25 High Street in the parish of Saint Giles in the ffields in the County of Middlesex Spinster I give and bequeath unto John Pott of the same place the sum of Nineteen pounds nineteen shillings I give unto Charles Henry Dean my Executor hereinafter named the sum of Ten pounds for his trouble in carrying the trusts of this my Will into execution All my ready money monies in the public funds plate linen China Goods Chattels and effects whatsoever and wheresoever after payment of the aforesaid legacies and my funeral and testamentary expenses I give and bequeath unto the said Charles Henry Dean In trust to pay the interest dividends and proceeds of my funded propaty as the same shall be received into the propa hands of my Sister Sarah Pott Wife of the aforesaid John Pott to and for her sole use and benefit free from the debts liabilities and engagements of her present or any future husband during her natural life her receipt alone to be a sufficient discharge to my said Executor from time to time for the same And also to permit and suffer my said Sister to have and enjoy the use of my linen china and other effects during her life free from the debts or intermeddling of her husband And from and immediately after the decease of my said Sister In trust to pay and divide the principal money in the public funds or elsewhere and also the said plate linen china and all other my goods chattels and effects unto and amongst such person or persons as she my said Sister shall by her last Will and Testament give and bequeath the same I hereby nominate and appoint the aforesaid Charles Henry Dean of Bayswater Gentleman sole Executor of this my will hereby revoking all other Wills and do hereby declare this to be my last Will In witness thereof I the said Elizabeth Caporn have hereunto set my hand this twelfth day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty # E. Proved at London 27th December 1843 before the worshipful John Danberry Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of Charles Henry Dean the sole Executor to whom Admin was granted having been first sworn duly to administer.
