The Will of William Stockley, yeoman of Tingewick written July 1815 proved July 1821

This is the Last Will and Testament of me William Stockley of Tingewicke in the County of Bucks Yeoman

I give and devise all that my Copyhold Estate situate lying and being in the old field in the parish of Tingewick aforesaid which I have already surrendered to the use of this my Will and which was devised to me by my late Uncle Thomas Stockley deceased unto my Son Thomas Stockley his heirs and assigns for Ever

also I give and devise all that my Copyhold Messuage or Tenement Close of Pasture Ground and Premises situate and being in Wood Street and the old Common in Tingewick aforesaid also surrendered to the use of my will and which devised and came to me as Heir at Law of my late ffather Edward Stockley deceased unto my Son John Stockley his Heirs and asignes for ever

and I give and devise all my Copyhold houses Lands Tenements and Heredits situate in the upper field in the parish of Tingewick aforesaid near ffinmere likewise surrendered to the use of my Will devised to me by the Will of Humphrey Smith deceased unto my Son William Stockley his heirs and assigns for ever

I give devise and bequeath unto my son John Stockley all my Leasehold Messuage or Tenement or Lands and premises with their appurtenances situate and being in a place called Barley Fields in Shelswell in the County of Oxford and which I now hold under Brazen nose College in Oxford To hold the same Messuage or Tenement Lands and premises with their appurtenacesa unto my said Son John Stockley his Executors adm'ors and assigns for all my Estate term or terms of years and Interest therein

also I give and bequeath to my Son Edward Stockley the Legacy or Sum of Two Hundred pounds to be paid to him by my Executor hereinafter named within twelve Calendar months next after my decease

also I give and bequeath all my ready money and securities for money household Goods and furniture live and dead farming Stock and all other the rest and residue of my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever remaining after and subject to the payment of all my just Debts except my Mortgage Debts which I hereby expressly charge upon the hereditaments and premises in a Mortgage and exempt my other Estates and Property therefrom funeral and Testamentary charges? and the Legacies hereinbefore by me given and bequeathed unto my Son John Stockley his Executors adm-rs and assigns

and Lastly I hereby make constitute and appoint my said Son John Stockley sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made in witness whereof I the above named William Stockley the Testator have to this my will contained in two sheets of paper to each sheet hereof set my hand and seal the twelfth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifteen.

Proved at London 13th July 1821 before the Judge by the oath of John Stockley the Son the sole Executor to whom adm'on was granted being first Sworn by Com's'n duly to administer an Interlocatory Decree having been first made and interposed for the f-st and vaidity of the said Will as by arts of Court app've//
