and KATHRYN ANITA (BURNETT) RUST

Kathryn Anita Burnett was born February 13, 1924 in Paducah, McCracken
Co., KY, the 7th and youngest child of James Washington and Ora Atwood
(Elliott) Burnett.

| Kathryn married Vernon Earl Rust September 14, 1940 in Fulton
Co., KY. Earl was born January 3, 1918 in Melber, McCracken Co., KY, the
son of Henry and Mary (Buckingham) Rust.

| Kathryn and Earl had three daughters, Shirley Ann, Carolyn Sue, and
Deborah Jean. This is Carolyn and Shirley in about 1951. |

The next two photos below were taken in June 1954 in front of a motel
or hotel, judging from the outdoor furniture on the second level
of the building. The adults look all tuckered out so it must have
been a hot day of visiting. The kids don't look tired at all!

| Kathryn died 8 March 1989 in Paducah, KY. This picture is from the

Ruth and her husband Fred Purkey visited with the Rust family in July 1990.
(Left to right) Danny and Carolyn (Rust) Gaines, Ruth Purkey, Earl Rust,
Shirley and James Poat. I guess Fred was taking the photo. Earl passed
away eight years later on 29 August 1998 in Paducah, KY.
