Mrs. Hall is the former Nila Denton.  The celebrants have been residents of McCracken County for the past 50 years, living in the Heath and Grahamville communities until the establishment of the atomic energy plant. They resided on the Olivet Church Rd. until 1948, when, due to ill health, they went to make their home with their son and daughter-in-law.  They are the parents of two children, Mr. Hall and Daisy Hall, a daughter now deceased, and one grandchild, Larry Hall, a student at the Univ. of Kentucky.

Harold, Marie and Larry on a visit to Michigan

When Uncle Harold was a Deputy U.S. Marshall he used to bring prisoners from Kentucky to Michigan occasionally. After he left his prisoner at the County Jail, he would stay for a visit with us. I was very small at the time and I remember how BIG he seemed to me. Several times, just before dinner, he would handcuff one of my brothers, Harold or Tom, to the backyard fence and leave him there until about 15 minutes into dinner. He waited until he was yelling pretty hard and then go out to release him. All of us, except the chosen brother, thought it was a great joke.
