MERRIWETHER, Patty, Oct. 14, 1801 — Oct. 20, 1801 [TMSI #5735]

Dau. Ann Hughes to have a negro: sons Wm. & Valentine, & sons- in-law John Hughes & James Merriwether to have the stock : six children of my son, David Wood Merriwether. dec., to have negroes; children of my dau., Polly Merriwether, dec., I shilling; children of my dau., Elizabeth Merriwether, dec., i shilling; only child of my dau., Mildred Mitchell, dec.; above grand-child to have no more by request of my husband.

Wife Patty, home plantantation, 285 acres; son Wm. to have plantation bought of A. S. Dandridge after wife's death ; son Valentine to have 203 acres, part of home plantation; son-in-law Jas. Merriwether to have 100 acres where he lives, which I bought of Nicholas Merriwether on south fork of Bear Grass Creek; son David Wood Merriwether, and son-in-law Jno. Hughes to have negroes; mentions grand-child.
