Will of Mary Waller Lewis Meriwether  [TMSI #4755]

I Mary Meriwether of the aforesaid State & District being in a low state of health But perfectly in my mind and sences do make and ordain this My last will and testament in the following manner (Viz) My desire is my track of Land whereon I now live shall be sold on a credit of twelve months and the money arising from the sale to be put to interest by my Executors as long as Joseph Foster shall live at his death the money with the Interest shall be given unto Sarah M. Foster, his wife, and should she die Before the said Foster her husband the said money shall be equally divided among all her children;

I give unto my son John Meriwether my Waggon & gear to him and his heirs for ever.

I give unto my son Zachary Meriwether my clock to him and his heirs forever.

I give unto my son Nicholas Meriwether all the money & cotton that I have heretofor Lent him; I give unto my granddaughter Mary Lewis Meriwether my riding Chear & harness and my sorrel horse by the name of Bull to her & to her heirs all the balance of my property to be sold on credit to twelve months and the money arising from the sale to be equally divided amongst my three sons John Zachary & Nicholas Meriwether. My three sons shall give Sarah M. Foster out of the money arising from the sales of my estate one Hundred dollars. That is thirty three & 1 1/3 dollars apiece.

I give unto my daughter Anne Mc Gehee of the State of Virginia one hundred dollars out of my money in the hands of James Mc Cracken & the balance to my three sons

I do appoint and ordain my three sons John Zachary and Nicholas Meriwether my Executors to his my last will and Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 19th day of June 1807.
