Fielden family papers 31st July 1858
Letter to R. & E. Smith complaining of non-payment of gas account at Inchfield Mill for June 1857-8, £33.15s.11d and Scaitcliffe Mill £11.4s.11d. Smiths replied they would not settle the gas accounts until the Fieldens settled their corn account. The Fieldens disclaimed knowledge of outstanding corn account.
