Robert Martin Thacker

1861 -1939

Robert Martin Thacker

Jan. 10, 1861-Nov. 28, 1939

Robert was born January 10, 1861 to William Thacker and Jane Carr Thacker. The oldest reference I have found so far is the 1870 Scott County, Kentucky census. His Death certificate says he was born in Fleming Co., Ky, but family tradition has it that he comes from Madison County, KY. It is known that he lived in Fleming county in 1886 when his oldest son, Charles W Thacker, was born. He is the second son of William and Jane. He moved to Miamisburg, OH at some point before 1929, and lived there the rest of his life. He died on November 28, 1939 of Cardiac Collapse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton, OH, and was buried the next day, Nov. 29 at Centerville, Oh.

This information is as acurate as I can be at this time. If you see an error please e-mail me at [email protected]. I would like to thank Lora Helton for procuring Robert's death certificate and Larry Thacker for the 1870 and 1880 Scott co census information. These documents put some large and elusive pieces of the puzzle together.
