Notes:

He lived and ended his days on a small farm in Cape May Co., not far from the Friends Meeting House. His friend and relative, Joseph Ludlam, who had to go to the West Indies for his health sold him 70 acres of Cedar Swamp for $70 per acre. Daniel lived to see it sell for $700 per acre.

Elizabeth Townsend, David Townsend's wife departed this life on the 5th Day of March, in the year 1761 after a long illness of an excessive cold, and yellow jaundice And being delivered of a child it being a Daughter, which child expired a few minutes after its birth, and the Mother lived about 2 hours after and expired also and they were both buried in one coffin on the 7th Day of March following, 1761.
