He was a soldier during the Revolutionary War, serving in 1787. Two of his sons, Daniel and John, who was killed in 1779, also served during the war. He is listed in the 1787 and 1790 tax lists of Fayette Co, KY. On 11 Jan 1790, he is listed in the tax list of Fayette Co, KY.
