The McDADES

James McDade married (unknown). Their daughter, Catherine (Katie) McDade, born October, 1847, in Scotland, married HENRY MAGUIRE on November 22, 1864 in Shettleston, Lanark, Scotland. Katie passed away May 1, 1926 in Butte, Montana.
    One description of the McDade crest says this: "The colors in the McDade Coat of Arms are said to signify Godliness, Releiver of the distressed and everlasting charity, boldness, wisdom and generosity. The hands and animal signify that the bearer must be in readiness to attend the business of the public, and that the bearer has the wit to penetrate and understand matters of highest importance; and that he would rather stand on his own ground honestly than to annoy another wrongfully."  Motto: Viget in cinere virtue meaning Virtue flourishes after death.

 

The FARRANS And McLAUGHLINS

Elizabeth McLaughlin married William Farran(Fearns). She was Irish and he is of French ancestry. Their daughter Margarette Farran(Fearns) was born March 4, 1829 in Dublin, Ireland. She married JOHN MCGURK. Margarette passed away October 16, 1926 and is buried in Wilburton, Oklahoma. See McGurk history.

 

The QUINNS and KELLYS

James Quinn married Anne Kelly on June 13, 1842 in Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland. Their daughter Julia Quinn was born March 10, 1848, Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland. The family emigrated to the United States. Julia married JOHN T. GARR.
