The line of descent in this Cook family is thru Moses Cook and Elizabeth (Betsey) Loft although the information following has also been compiled on Moses' brother George. Both George and Moses were born in Ireland and in 1820 appear on the Federal Census in the Town of Lee, Oneida County, NY. George was listed as the head of household, and includes one female over age 45. It is assumed that this person is the mother of George & Moses but I have been unable to find the parents names.
