Mrs. W. H. Lofft, of the Wisconsin Veteran's Home, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Blevings at Wheaton, Illinois, on Tuesday, November 28, 1922, at the age of 81 years, death being caused by general disability.

There is left to mourn their loss three daughters, Mrs. Frank Conti, California; Mrs. Charles Blevins, Wheaton, Ill; Mrs. Irving Rowland, California; and two sons, F. E. Stowers of Waupaca and James Stowers of Lost Nation, Iowa, besides a large number of grand children and great grand-children. The remains will bebrought to the Wisconsin Veteran's Home and place at rest besides those of her husband in the Veteran's Home cemetery.

On Wednesday morning at the hopital, occurred the death of William H. Loft. The deceased was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in Co. Cm if tge 9th Penn. Inf. With his wife he gained admittance to the Home, about twenty years ago. Mr. Loft was a familiar figure, not only those of the Home, but of the surrounding country as well, it being his custom to spend many hours of the day in walking. Without exaggeration it would be safe to say that he travelled the distance between here and Waupaca thousands of time. He is survived by a wife. Funeral services were conducted from the Home chapel on Saturday, at 1:30 o'clock; Rev. E.B. Earle officiating. Interment took place in the Home cemetery.
