Brown, Dora Mansfield

Vienna - Mrs. Dora M. Brown, 88, widow of Albert Brown, died last night in a Rome Hospital. She was born in Bartlett June 27, 1860, a daughter of Andrew and Betsey Harris Mansfield. She was married to Mr. Brown in New London on Feb. 20, 1881 by Rev. W.H. Morrell, Methodist minister. Mr.Brown died 23 years ago. Mrs. Brown had lived practically all her life in this village where she was an active member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. L. T. Raut, Oneida Castle, Mrs. E. A. Kent, Canastota, and Mrs. Leland Loomis, Vienna; three sons, Van H. Brown, Syracuse, Orville A., Sylvan Beach, and David A., Vienna; 35 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held at the B. A. Sanborn and Son Funeral Home Tuesday with the Rev. Sterling A. Wetherell officiating. Burial will be in McConnellsville Cemetery.
