Dianne M. Carpenter, 64, of 7297 Seifert Road, Rome, died Monday, July 19, 2004, at Rome Hospital after a long illness. She was born August 7, 1939, in Rome, NY, the daughter of Jesse and Margaret Turland Rouillier. She graduated from VVS in 1956. On December 23, 1962, she married Corneilous 'Joe' Carpenter in St. Mary's Church. He died June 26, 2000. She worked for Rome Developmental Center for 38 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Mary's CHurch and the RDC Bowling and Softball leagues. Dianne was also an avid camper and Pitch player.

She is survived by her son, J. J. Carpenter and his fiance, Carey Ann Bliss of Rome, her mother, Margaret Rouillier, Rome, two sisters, Joan Van Court, Rome and Linda and Jack Frenz, Warner Robins, Ga., three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jesse and Charlene Rouillier, Lee Center, Daniel and Maxine Rouillier, Lee Center and Jon and Cindy Rouillier, Rome, and several nieces and nephews. She also left behind two special gifts, Bianca and Bubba.
