June 18, 1991Sally J. Carpenter, 60, of 5094 Oswego Road, died June 17, 1991 at Rome Hospital after an illness of three years.
She was born June 4, 1931, in Rome, a daughter of Albert and Erma Richardson Brodock. A 1948 graduate of Rome Free Academy, she married Edward S. Carpenter on September 17, 1949. Mrs. Carpenter worked for Iseneker's Dairy, Inc. for 22 years. She had also been employed by Rome Club, Perazzi USA and Giacomo Sporting USA. She was a member of the First Baptists Church.
Surviving besides her husband are her mother, Erma Brodock, Phoenix, Ariz., four daughters and two sons-in-law, Bonnie and Ken LaRock, Camden, Barbara Carpenter, Taberg, Brenda and Kenny Light, Williamstown, and Bethanie Carpenter, at home, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jim and Kim Carpenter, Lee, and Jeffrey Carpenter, at home, a special sister, Mrs. Warren (MaryLou) Yager, Higginsville, two brothers, Albert E. Brodock Jr., Fontana, Calif., and Arthur L. Brodock, Rome, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Hilda B. Lubeck on Oct. 31, 1989.
