(MOTHERS CLAIM) David's Pension Certificate. The number is 102765. Betsy received a pension for David. She received $8.00 a month commencing on 2-11-1865.

David E Mansfield, a private in Co. B enlisted as a recruit in 1864. Survived all the battles until wounded severely in the legs and body at fort fisher. Taken to Camp McDougall, New York where he died Feb 11 1865. Findagrave for Cypress Hills Cemetery Brooklyn, says he was born 20 Sept 1845 at Westmoreland, one of 10 children born of Andrew Jackson Mansfield and Betsy A Harris. Buried in plot 2323. The grave at Westmoreland must be a memorial ?.
