May 12, 1983Camden - Robert W. Janes, 40, of 26 Fayette Street, a tinner at Camden Wire Co., where he had been employed for over 17 years, died Tuesday, May 10, 1983, in Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.
Born in Lee Center on December 9, 1942, he was a son of Warren and Eileen Brown Janes. He married Theodora Boutwell in Taberg Methodist Church.
Mr. Janes was in the Marine Corps from 1961 to 1965, serving in Okinawa. He had lived in Camden since 1965, moving from Durhamville. Mr. Janes was a former member of the Arthur S. Moran Post of the American Legion. He was a Methodist.
Surviving besides his father and stepmother in Verona and his wife, are two sons, Kenneth W. Janes and Keith R. Janes, both at home, a daughter, Kim M. Janes, at home, three sisters, Mrs. Howard (Sandra) Netzband, Durhamville, Mrs. Faith Harp, Fish Creek Landing, and Mrs. Dean (Penny) Jones, State Bridge, three brothers, James W. Janes,Parish, Donald W. Janes, Cleveland, and Terry E. Janes, Simpsonville, SC, a stepsister, Mrs. William Lombardi, Camden, and a stepbrother, Richard Snell, Camden.
The funeral will be held Friday at the Sanborn McDaniels Funeral Home with burial in West Verona Cemetery, Durhamville.
