Ruth O. Meacham, 67, of Rt. 233, died Monday, August 23, 1999 in Faxton Hospital.

She was born in Rome, July 27, 1932 to Samuel and Alice Armstrong O'Dell. She received her education in Westmoreland Schools and also attended the Utica School of Commerce. At the Westmoreland United Methodist Church, July 16, 1960, she married Richard Meacham. For a few years, she was employed at Oneida Limited and retired from RADC at Griffiss Air Force Base in 1995 after 23 years of service. She was a member of the Westmoreland United Methodist Church.

Surviving besides her husband, Richard, are her mother, Alice, of Rome, two daughters, Lori Meacham and Susan Meacham, both of Clinton a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Gordon Sprague, of Rome, many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Melissa Sprague and two nephews, Jeff and Jamie Sprague.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday . Interment will be in Westmoreland Union Cemetery.
